pocket SDR student lab kit
Pocket SDR student lab kit: RF110 and the pocket RF module
Small half-duplex and zero-IF pocket radios for freshman labs, take-home exercises and spectrum viewing. 1 MHz–6 GHz on RF110, USB power.
Two small kits
Broadband RF Device RF110 is a half-duplex pocket radio, 1 MHz–6 GHz, 5 MHz instantaneous bandwidth, USB data and power. It is the kit for freshman spectrum labs and amateur-radio exercises.
The pocket RF module is a separate zero-IF board, 70 MHz–6 GHz, 12-bit converters and USB 2.0. It is used from first-year experience courses through senior projects.
When to step up
A pocket kit cannot replace a 2x2 full-duplex bench. Courses that need two transmit and two receive channels should use RF210.
Departments often buy one RF210 per student pair and RF110 units for take-home work.
