GNU Radio UHD teaching bench
GNU Radio and UHD teaching bench for university SDR labs
A 2x2 SDR bench with UHD and GNU Radio for communications and digital signal processing courses. RF210 and RF320 notes for lab buyers.
What the bench is for
Communications and software-defined radio courses usually start in GNU Radio Companion. Instructors need a radio that students can open with the USRP Hardware Driver (UHD), then move the same flow graph from simulation to a live RF link.
Broadband RF Device RF210 is the bench radio for that workflow: two transmit and two receive, half-duplex or full-duplex, Kintex-7 FPGA, and UHD. RF320 is the smaller embedded option when the lab also wants an ARM processor on the radio.
Typical student exercises
FM and digital demodulation, a simple QPSK link between two benches, and a spectrum view across the 70 MHz–6 GHz range on RF210, or 1 MHz–6 GHz on RF210H/G.
PPS clock reference is listed for multi-radio labs. There is no public checkout. Universities inquire by email with course name and quantity.
